Last week I did a post on Race Day fashion, and I was supposed to go to the student race day event in Lepoardstown last Wednesday. However, because the weather decided take a turn for the worse I decided not to go on the day and instead went to the Jameson Distillery. Initially I was disappointed that I couldn’t go to the Races (I had already done my tan!) but I ended up having a nice relaxed day in the Jameson Distillery with my boyfriend followed by lovely food and a movie. Now, on to my outfit!

I opted for a dressy casual look for the day with this patterned monochrome dress, turquoise green blazer and tan buckle brogues. I got this dress in New Look in the mid season spring sales for only €12! I couldn’t believe the price tag when I saw it; it’s quite unusual with the criss-cross trim running along the waist. If you read my blog you have probably copped by now that I am a lover of versatile pieces, and that is just what this dress is! It looks great here for a casual day time look, but also on a night out with the legs out and a brightly coloured heel to complement it!
My blazer is from Primark/Penneys and I picked it up about two years ago when I was in London for about £9! I haven’t worn it much due to the weather but I plan to bring it out a lot this summer. My brogues were another purchase from the mid season New Look sale; they were €12 down from €25!
