I am quite happy to relax and not have to do anything over the next couple days; it has been a very busy Christmas for me with the two weddings on top of everything else! I hope your all enjoying the New Year so far! Due to the lovely weather we have in Ireland, half way through taking these photos it started raining so they were a bit rushed! I got this monochrome cardigan/blazer in Stradivarius sale. It was €19.99 and is very versatile. Here I have teamed it with a moss green skater style dress from Penneys/Primark. Since I bought this blazer style cardigan on Stephens’s day I have got great wear out of it. It looks just as good with skinny jeans as it does with dresses. My dress cost about €15 and i think that the colour is perfect for winter. Happy New Year Everyone!

I hope you all had a great time ringing in 2014 surrounded by your friends and family! I haven’t had much time to post in the last few days, on Monday I went to another wedding, that’s two in the last couple of days! Then yesterday I travelled up to Dublin after the wedding to ring in the New Year with a few college friends. I had a quiet one at my friend’s house instead of going out on the town.

Christmas Wedding | Little Black Dress

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and are still feeling full from the turkey!

Yesterday I went to a wedding, the first one I have ever gone to around Christmas time and it was so nice despite the bitter cold. I found it difficult to find anything I really liked in the shops so I wore a dress I got for a ball about two years ago. It was a classic little black dress teamed with black and gold accessories. I love this dress, it’s a very flattering fit on and easy to wear for a long day as it isn’t restricting. What sets it apart from other black dresses is the neckline; I feel the strappy design really adds to this otherwise simple dress. When I bought it was about forty or fifty euro and I got it from Asos. I decided to go for patent black high heels and a black and gold clutch bag. I really love this clutch, it is quite unusual in its design, I got it a couple of years ago in a charity shop for only €15! It was such a bargain because I have worn it with lots of different outfits. To match in with my bag I wore a gold cuff bracelet with a leather trim design and some simple dangly gold earrings. To add a bit of festiveness to the outfit I added a red lip and off I tottered to the Church!
