Happy New Year Everyone!
I hope you all had a great time ringing in 2014 surrounded by your friends and family! I haven’t had much time to post in the last few days, on Monday I went to another wedding, that’s two in the last couple of days! Then yesterday I travelled up to Dublin after the wedding to ring in the New Year with a few college friends. I had a quiet one at my friend’s house instead of going out on the town.
For the wedding I went for a completely different look from the first one. I wore a long navy maxi dress that I got in H & M for only €30! It was such a bargain! It is quite a simple dress from the front; the detail at the back is what makes it different. I decided to team it with navy and gold accessories for the day and a fishtail plait.
My necklace is in the style of a collar and it goes really well with the dress. I got it in Penneys/Primark for €5. My clutch is from Awear, I picked it up in the sale before Christmas to go with the dress. I tried a lot of different places but couldn’t find any nice navy clutches and when I saw this I grabbed it as it went perfectly with the outfit! It looks tiny but thankfully it wasn’t too small to carry my phone and a few bits of makeup. To finish off the look I added a pair of strappy navy and gold heels that I got about two years ago in Barratts Shoe shop and a gold cuff bracelet. I also wore simple gold stud earrings. I really like this look and overall it wasn’t too expensive to put together, I spent €50 overall on it which is quite good for a wedding outfit. You could also wear this outfit to a ball or in the summer it could be dressed down with strappy gladiator sandals.

For the day one of my good friends Leanne did my makeup and hair. She did a great job and I was very happy with her work. She’s a fully trained Makeup Artist and you should check out her makeup page here and give it a like! J
