What I Wore | Gingham Bardot

Summer has definitely arrived or at least ‘the feeling’ of summer in Ireland at the moment. Last Sunday was by far the hottest day of the year until now with temperatures reaching 20 degrees, I decided to take full advantage of this and to bare the legs with this gorgeous bardot style gingham dress and metallic sandals.

Gingham and bardot are two trends that are taking over the high street at the moment and this dress perfectly incorporates the two trends to compliment one and other. This bardot style gingham dress is from Penneys and it’s perfect for Sunday strolling or even a day at the beach. I picked this up a few weeks ago in Penneys for only €8, a complete bargain if you’re looking at trying out the gingham or bardot trend without breaking the bank! Here, I have teamed it with simple metallic sandals also from Penneys (even cheaper that the dress at only €4!), a metallic gold and blush pink handbag from New Look and my denim jacket from Bershka (see another way to style it here).

These photos were taken down in Kinsale where I spent the weekend at a family wedding. After the weekend, I can say that Kinsale is now probably one of my favourite little harbor towns in Ireland and has made me want to explore Cork more!
