What I Wore | Classic Tweed

Last weekend I went down to Limerick to visit my friend who is studying in UL. It was a really nice weekend, on the Saturday evening we went for dinner and drinks and on the Sunday we went to a family fun day in UL. The outfit here is what I wore out for dinner and drinks on the Saturday night.

I kept my look quite classic by pairing black with a tweed textures skater style skirt. I tend to wear a lot of skater style skirts and when I saw this in H & M a few weeks ago I had to have it, although it was a bit more than I would usually pay for a skirt at €29.99 I loved it so much I couldn’t leave it behind! I think the tweed design and the structured shape of the skirt will be perfect for the fast approaching winter season. In my style here, I dressed the skirt up slightly by adding my suedette heeled Chelsea style boots that I got back in January or February in H & M and a plain black kimono from Penneys.

This skirt would also look great teamed with more causal items too, like a chunky knit cropped jumper, statement necklace and some patent brogues. Add in a wrap around cape scarf and you’d be set for whatever Mother Nature will throw at you!

Have you noticed that even though we are only two days into October that the temperature has dropped significantly? I think it’s time we said goodbye to the summer and hello to cosy winter knits and a warm fire!
