What I Wore | Monochrome Workwear

Since I started work just over three months ago my fashion style has begun to slightly evolve. I find myself reaching for timeless items that I can mix and match to create a wide array of different looks and styles. Items that can be worn from the office to casual drinks or dinner out with friends.

In today’s look my staple item is this monochrome floral blouse that I picked up in the Oasis sale for only €19! I couldn’t believe the price tag seeing the fabric is such great quality and the cut is equally as flattering. This look is great for coming straight from work to meet friends. I wore it last week and did exactly that!

Seeing that the blouse speaks for itself I decided to stick with the monochrome style and pair it with plain black trousers and black flats. I got these trousers in New Look a while back and they are a great basic work item. Although I would advise to size down as these are quite a stretchy material and can be a bit big after a couple of wears! I am absolutely in love with these patent flats! I got them last week in H & M and I am convinced that they will be my staple shoe for the autumn/winter season. They will go with just about everything from jeans to dresses. And what’s even better the bow detail makes them stand out from the other similar style patent flats on the high street at the moment! Plus they only set me back €25.
What is everyone else’s go to pieces for coming from the office straight to dinner or drinks with friends? I’d love to hear all your thoughts! Let me know on here or on Twitter or Facebook!
