What I Wore | Kimono and Florals

I know I haven’t been posting as regularly as I used to, but hopefully that will all change in two weeks. I am currently in the middle of study week for my final year exams so I thought I would give you all a little update and a new outfit of the day post! Life has been a bit of a whirlwind over study week, in between the studying I went for an interview and I have been offered and have accepted a new job in Marketing! I start the end of May, so I plan to have my regular blogging schedule back when I am settled in the new job.

Okay, so on to the outfit. Today I have something I wore a couple of weeks ago in college. I think kimonos are a key piece for the summer months and I really love this one. It is simple enough to go with a lot of different outfits and to be styled in many ways, while still standing on its own with its gorgeous intricate stitching along the front and back. I got this in the sales way back at Christmas in anticipation for warmer weather. I think it cost be about €9 and it’s from New Look.

Here, I wore it with my floral bodycon skirt and tan buckle brogues both also from New Look. New Look seems to be one of my favourite stores at the moment, they have so much gorgeous stuff at amazing prices, and the student discount is great too! To finish off this outfit I just added a simple black cami from Penneys and this gold medallion style necklace from River Island, which cost me about £2 while I was up the North a couple of months ago.

What are everyone’s opinions on kimonos? Do you love or hate them? If you’re currently on a study break check out my previous posts for inspiration for what to wear after exams! Thank you to everyone for reading and I hope to post again soon!
