Welcome back to my weekly styling series ‘How to Style It’. This week I am going to showcase my looks around a trend that a lot of us are wearing recently, the midi skirt. The midi skirt is a very versatile piece of clothing and today I am going to show you three completely different looks using this pale pink midi from New Look.

For my first outfit I am going to focus on a dressed up look that would be perfect for a day at the races. With Cheltenham starting today and student race days coming up over the next few weeks, the midi skirt would be an ideal investment piece if you don’t already have one. For these three looks, I chose a simple pale pink midi instead of a printed one as I thought it would be easier to style in lots of different ways. I have made this look very feminine, pairing it with a floral top and pale accessories. It would make a perfect race day outfit!
Next, I have gone for a more toned down casual look that you could wear during the day running errands. This might not be everyone’s style but I love the word jumpers that are around at the moment. This would be a perfectly cosy but stylish pink look, and I feel the grey coloured jumper adds a bit of an edge to the feminine pale pink midi skirt. Here, accessories need to be minimalistic so that it’s not too in your face.
Finally, I have chosen another dressy look that you could wear to dinner, to a show or on a night out on the town. This skirt is extremely versatile, pale pink and black are a perfect colour combination if you are looking for a classy sophisticated look. These strappy heels would be a great alternative for the summer. The black and gold accessories add a bit of individuality to the outfit, I love this necklace from Forever 21.
I hope I have given you some inspiration on how to style the midi skirt no matter what your style is! What’s your favourite outfit here? Do you see yourself investing in a midi this Spring/Summer? If you want to buy any of these items they are all in stores now and I have included a link to each specific piece under each different outfit.
