What I Wore | Patterned Kimono

Here’s what I wore to the ‘Nissan Generation Next UCD Fashion Show’. It was a great night and my blog post about the event and my favourite looks will be up in the next couple of days! So keep an eye out for it!

For the event, I went for a simple moss green skater style dress that I picked up in Penneys/Primark a couple of months ago. I think it was about €15 and I have certainly got my money  worth, I always wear it! I love this dress as it has such a flattering shape and can be worn in many different ways depending on what look you are going for. For the fashion show, I teamed it with this statement Kimono that I picked up in New Look in the January sales. I think a Kimono is great for the spring and summer time. I love the pattern on it and think it looks great contrasted with the black. The material is very sheer so it’s nice and light to wear. I haven’t got the chance to wear this much as I have felt it has been too cold for it! But once the spring and the warmer weather arrives, I will be wearing it on full force teamed with girly spring dresses, over light jeans or shorts.
To accessorise I wore this black and gold necklace also from Penneys/Primark and my black heeled Chelsea boots from H&M. Since buying both of these items, I have worn them to death! They go with everything! I also usually wear this necklace over cropped jumpers; check out my post past herefeaturing it.

What does everyone think? Will you be investing in a Kimono for the spring/summer time? Thanks to everyone for reading and I’d love to know your thoughts on the outfit!
