Today I have something different for you all! Recently through my reading of different blogs and Twitter I noticed a new competition that was happening and thought it would be a great one to enter. I thought this competition was perfect for The Savvy Styler because my aim is to show you looks that I love (and hopefully you love) that don’t break the bank! Being a student the first thing I look at when I pick up a piece of clothes etc is the price tag. With this in mind this styling competition was perfect!
Scarlett Fashion is a new online boutique, the competition is for bloggers to use as many items as you like from their sale range with the goal of creating a purse friendly and creative sale outfit. And the great prize is that the chosen winner will get to keep all the items they picked for their look! Of course you’re allowed to use items from other stores to pad out your look as Scarlett Fashion don’t stock shoes as of yet!

So here is my entry! After looking through their website and the sale items, I decided to choose an outfit that could be worn during the day and also on a night out by throwing the jumper into your handbag! I have gone for this cream blouse with embellished gems. This blouse is very versatile, teamed with these leather leggings and owl jumper it can be worn during the day or for a more dressed up night time look just ditch the jumper. For the spring, I think this blouse would look great with pastel lace shorts or tucked into a structured skater skirt. Next on to the jumper, I love this jumper, when I first spotted it I knew I had to include it in my look and so I tried to create the outfit around it! I think the owl design on it is quite unique and something I have never seen before. This and the blouse are both from the Sugarhill boutique range that Scarlet Fashion stock. I feel this jumper is lovely for a day time look and goes quite nicely with the leather leggings and burgundy accessories from New Look.
For the bottom half of this outfit I chose a pair of leather leggings from the b.young range of Scartlet Fashion. I think leather leggings/trousers are a must for anyone and they are quickly becoming a wardrobe staple for a lot of people these days! I think this complete outfit is perfect for a day of shopping or lunch and it can also be easily transformed into a going out look by simply taking off the jumper and throwing it in your bag! Just throw over this coat (another Sugerhill Boutique range, I am obsessed) to combat the January breeze and your good to go!
