In the last post I showcased some of my favourite stripes that are on the high street at the moment and how you can style them in multiple ways to suit varying tastes and shapes.
Today, I’m showing you how I like to wear stripes in my personal style. I’m also going to share with you some exciting news I have!
Over the past eight weeks I have been taking part in an evening advanced styling course and I am happy to announce I can now officially call myself a fashion stylist! The course was delivered by one of Ireland’s top stylist, Laura Jordan and incorporated guest speakers from different sides of the industry. It really has given me a great insight into the world of fashion styling!
As part of my assignment I had to style and shoot three different looks. This was one of the looks that I styled and over the next few weeks I will be sharing the others with you.
My overall concept was trying to mix structure and industrial designs with a subtle softness and colour pop. Here, I chose this leather look skirt from New Look as my centre piece and I tried to soften the look by loosely curling my hair and adding a relaxed cotton stripe top, also from New Look. I finished off the outfit by adding subtle gold details and a pop of colour.
