Today‘s outfit is something I wore last Thursday night to a Charity table quiz event for my friend Grace. The table quiz was run in conjunction with ESN and was part of the 100 minds project that Grace is involved in that aims to raise €100,000 for Temple Street Children’s Hospital. It was such a great night, my team ended up coming second and Grace managed to surpass her goal of raising €1,000 for Temple Street. If you have the time you should check out the great cause that a 100 Irish students are involved in and if you’re feeling extra generous why not donate to Grace’s Profile here!
Anyways, on to my outfit, I was in a rush getting ready so I just threw on my moss green tartan shorts that I got over the Christmas in the sales. These shorts are from New Look and are really convenient if you are in a rush and don’t know what to wear. Teamed here with the black I feel they look quite classical and add a sophisticate edge to the outfit. They are also right on trend as tartan seems to be staying with us for the spring, so you can’t go wrong!
I teamed them with this blazer that I got in Awear last year, it’s a plain black boyfriend fit blazer with a leather detailed collar which I feel adds something quirky to the jacket. Sorry that you can’t really see it on the photos! As these shorts are quite short and it’s still very cold out I paired them with black opaques and a black tank top. To accessorize, I wore my favourite gold and pearl necklace that has been featured an uncountable amount of times at this stage on my blog. But I love it; and it goes with a lot of the different outfits I wear! I am also wearing my gold Coach watch and heeled Chelsea boots that I picked up last week in H & M.
Below I have created a collage of where you can find similar items to what I am wearing! Which do you prefer the skort or the shorts?
